Will Chris Evans return to MCU as Captain America?”It’s Not a Hard No, But It’s Not An Eager Yes Either”

Captain America And Black Widow In The Marvel Cinematic Universe:

We could possibly see Captain America And Black Widow return to the MCU. We know of Chris Evans’ exit from the Marvel Universe with Endgame this year. But now, the Captain America actor is in a candid conversation with Scarlett Johansson. The actress is famous for playing the character of Black Widow. And the two actors are now in discussion for Evans’ possible return to the MCU.

Captain America And His Legacy:

It is in early 2019 when Chris Evans bid goodbye to Cap with Avengers: Endgame. The actor is a synonym to the Marvel Superhero. And he decided to pass on his shield to Anthony Mackie. Subsequently, Mackie will hold up Cap’s shield in the upcoming The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

But, even after Evans’ retirement from the MCU, fans are hopeful. They are hoping that Evans would yet again wear his suit, even if it is for a cameo in one of the upcoming MCU projects. This could either be for the standalone Black Widow movie, or for the upcoming Disney Plus series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

The Conversation Between The Captain America And Black Widow Actors:

Regardless of the possibilities, Evans confirms a heart-breaking fact in the conversation with Johansson. He confirms that he might not be returning to the MCU anytime soon. In the conversation between Captain America And Black Widow stars, this topic was raised multiple times.

The actor begins by expressing his love for the character of Captain America. Then, he follows it up by saying that he doesn’t know if he will return to Marvel.

Chris Evans’ Comments On His Return To Marvel:

He says, “It’s not a hard no, but it’s not an eager yes either. There are other things that I’m working on right now. I think Cap had such a tricky act to stick the landing, and I think they did a really nice job letting him complete his journey. If you’re going to revisit it, it can’t be a cash grab. It can’t be just because the audience wants to be excited. What are we revealing? What are we adding to the story? A lot of things would have to come together,” he said. “It doesn’t feel, at this time, that would be a thing,” he added.

After listening to Evans’ answer, Scarlett looks back at Cap’s ending in Endgame. She then goes on to deem it a “beautiful cathartic ending.” She then says that Cap probably deserved it. It was, in fact, all his happiness.

While we are not happy with this, there is a point in what Evans says. Regardless, we are hopeful of seeing Captain America And Black Widow together, even for one last time.
