Why Does Sonny From ‘Me Time’ Choose To be A Stay At Home Dad?

The new Netflix comedy ‘Me Time’ stars Kevin Hart as Sonny, a dedicated and devoted full-time father. Me Time is a hilarious movie itself, but Kevin Hart makes it so much more comical. While this movie is entertaining, it is also modern and represents present-day relationships and stay-at-home dads.

Kevin Hart plays the role of Sonny Fisher, a stay-at-home dad. Before choosing to be a stay-at-home dad, Sonny was a Data entry clerk at Citibank and before that, He was a very adventurous person too. At the start of the movie, we can see Sonny and his best friend Huck shown to be doing extreme sports, specifically wingsuit flying, for Huck’s twenty-ninth Birthday, which Huck liked to call the ‘Big Two Nine’. Even though Sonny was reluctant to do it at first, eventually he seemed to like it. Sonny tells Huck that he’s going to be there by his side for every crazy birthday adventure till the end of time. But later he gets busy with his life and kids.

Sonny always had the chance to keep working just like his wife, an Architect. But after their second child, he felt that it would be best if he stayed at home and looked after the kids. Sonny also enjoys being part of his kids’ school life. He is the president of the parent-teacher association (PTA) and also he loves entertaining kids. Sonny wanted people to think he had value. He relished the time that he spent with his kids and appreciates being a stay-at-home dad.

They were the best of friends. But stay-at-home dad Sonny (Kevin Hart) has nothing in common anymore with hard-partying Huck (Mark Wahlberg). Can Sonny reconnect with his old pal and enjoy some me time-at Huck’s no-holds-barred birthday extravaganza? You can find out by watching it on Netflix.
