All this while one of the most expected reunions was Mobius and Loki.
While we had that in the 5th episode, fans wanted them to be the best of friends for all eternity.
While we thought maybe that would happen somehow, things changed in the end, thanks to Sylvie.
Why did Sylvie kill He Who Remains?
Loki begged her not to do and even proved that he is not after a throne, but Sylvie just couldn’t let go.
Sylvie is someone who knew nothing but good and happiness in her life until TVA took everything from her.
For her to see the reason behind the world going into chaos and stopping it is not normal.
She has never been in one place for more than a while, and all she has seen is destruction and the end of time. So, she basically hides in them.
But her feud with He Who Remains is much bigger, and he has not convinced her that he is saying the truth.
Why did Mobius forget Loki?
Well, when Loki was trying to convince Sylvie, we also saw He Who Remains to say that he just lost control and has no idea what will happen.
The thunder rumbling was the indication of it. With that, he also said he would be back again, and that can be done through reincarnation or variants.
So, we know he is not completely off to the plane of death. But by killing him, Sylvie changed the reality.
The reality was we saw He Who Remains’ original image as a statue on the TVA building and Mobius and Hunter 20 talking about him.
This new reality, whatever it is, has Mobius thinking Loki is some analyst and Jonathan Majors’ He Who Remains to be the open ruler of TVA.
We are still waiting to find out what all changed when Sylvie killed He Who Remains.
