When Will the Demon Slayer Movie Release in India?
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, is one of the best-selling manga of all time. The anime has achieved the commendable feat of having over 150 million copies in circulation if digital versions are also included.
After the huge popularity of the manga, the TV adaptation also became an instant hit in Japan and has seen equal success outside Japan.
Demon Slayer’s Season 1 aired in Japan from April to September 2019 to lots of critical success and overwhelming popularity. However, even after a gap of almost 2 years, Demon Slayer Season 2 is yet to see the light of day.
The movie Demon Slayer: Mugen Train has got a highly hyped release in the North American continent. It got a huge theatrical release on the 23rd of April. No wonder American anime fans are going crazy over there!
But unfortunately, not all fans in all regions and countries have got the chance to watch the Demon Slayer Movie on screen. One such country is India, where there’s a thriving anime community, more than willing to get the movie screened in their theatres.

Popular theatre houses like PVR, SPI, and INOX screened Weathering With You, which saw an astounding turnout. This screening was possible due to a dedicated campaign by many enthusiastic fans.
After many fans kept bugging the officials at the PVR Cinemas (as they should), they released a statement that gave many fans hope. They commented that they’re communicating with the official distributors of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train to release it in India.
So, according to the speculations by some sources, the Demon Slayer Movie might be getting a release in India by 2021. Hopefully, we’ll get to watch it soon!
Plot of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba
The anime follows Tanjiro Kamada, a young man whose entire family is murdered by a demon. Only his sister Nezuko survived it but was turned into a demon herself.
The duo embarks on a quest, entangling in the affairs of a secret society, known as the Demon Survey Corps. At the same time, they seek a cure to make Nezuko into a human once again.
