Homeless and vulnerable, he has a fateful encounter with Osamu Dazai with a peculiar kink for suicide. Osamu Dazai is a popular Japanese novelist known for his nihilistic and confessional writings. Bungou Stray Dogs is galore with such references to many popular artists.

The anime’s third season introduced us to interesting personalities like Fyodor Dostoevsky. This new introduction is very intriguing as Dostoevsky was a huge literary influence on Dazai. It would be fun to see what kind of dynamic develops between the two.
