In the comics, Kang the Conqueror is an adversary for many of Marvel’s greatest heroes, including the Avengers. Many of Kang’s divergent selves go on to seek glory by conquering various worlds and timelines, but the original Kang mends his ways and becomes a force for good, seeking to deter his other more violent selves to keep the universes in balance.
The upcoming “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” has kept its plot tightly under wraps, other than the fact that Kang the Conqueror will feature in the film. After the events in the season finale of “Loki,” things just got even more complicated. Even after He Who Remains’ warning that killing him would result in creating other more dangerous versions of himself, Sylvie stabs him and puts an end to the TVA’s founder.
So how will the events of “Loki” tie in with the next “Ant-Man” film? The MCU has established that the Quantum Realm is the means by which time travel is possible, as explained by the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Therefore, it stands to reason that one of Kang’s variants (created when Sylvie murdered He Who Remains) would use the Quantum Realm to travel through time — and perhaps even use it to conquer time itself. Of course, being that time travel itself is so wildly complicated, as is Kang the Conqueror’s storyline, we can only speculate what the MCU has in store for the future.
