Doctor Strange 2 Could Have A Major ‘What If…?’ Cameo And Connection

Now rumor has it that there could be a major What If…? cameo in Doctor Strange 2.

The highly anticipated Disney+ animated series What If…? was initially considered to be unrelated to the current scene in the MCU. It was said to deliver mainly alternate reality versions of certain familiar MCU moments and stories. However, recent developments and revelations about the animated series have shown a different light.

Certain comments from notable Marvel stars have also previously changed the game for What If…?. Additionally, a new Marvel rumor has suggested that one of the pivotal figures of What If…? Season 1 will have an important role to play in Doctor Strange 2.

Doctor Strange 2 is expected to be released next year. In the Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen is confirmed to be seen. Rumors have also surfaced that Tom Hiddleston will be seen as Loki. Additionally, there have been some sources stating that Captain Carter from What If…? will have a cameo in Doctor Strange 2.

 

The DisInsider Show has stated that there have been news reports that suggest that Captain Carter will be appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Captain Carter is a version of Peggy Carter who received the super-soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers.

Captain Carter is set to be the focus of one upcoming What If…? episode and the character have been heavily featured in the show’s early promotions. We are now aware of the possibility of multiple variants. Therefore, in the Multiverse of Madness, this Peggy variant may have great importance as the character is rumored to be seen.

Considering the different cameos that Marvel has put in different standalone films over the years, it wouldn’t be surprising if the upcoming Doctor Strange film will have some too. That being said, it is still an exciting and fun possibility to think about cameos in the current state of the MCU.
