What Happened to the Assassin’s Creed Anime?

As you know, four years ago there was an announcement that an anime of Assassin’s Creed is coming. Sadly, we haven’t heard from it since, which has caused many to worry and fear a possible cancellation. Fortunately, that was not what happened with this promising project.

Eurogamer recently had the opportunity to chat with Aymar Azaïzia, Head of Content for Assassin’s Creed . There they asked him if there are still plans for the animated series. Given this, he made it clear that the production based on the Ubisoft game is still standing, although we will have to wait a long time to see it.

“Stay active. He’s from the guys who brought us the Raving Rabbids TV show and also announced the Far Cry animated series. Those guys are really focused on that. It is not the next big project, but it is still in your hands. It has not been cancelled.”

The words of the creative of Assassin’s Creed make it clear that the Netflix anime series still stands. Unfortunately, it seems that this is not the priority of the Ubisoft team and we will have to wait a long time before it becomes a reality.

In case you haven’t been on the lookout, we can tell you that the Assassin’s Creed anime was announced in July 2017.

This is a production that was announced by Ali Shankar, the Hollywood producer who took over the Castlevania series. This creative is a fan of the series, so many were excited to have someone on board with a passion for Assassin’s Creed.
