The latest chapter featured a thrilling battle between Brahman’s strongest duo Waka and Benkei and Rokuhara Tandai’s leader, South. Mikey continues to watch the battle as Senju decides to step in at the end of the chapter. It’s such torture to have the chapter cut off at such a pivotal entry of a character like Senju whose level of strength fans have been extremely curious about for some time now.

Tokyo Revengers Chapter 229 Release Date

Chapter 229 of Tokyo Revengers is scheduled to release on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021.

Recap of Tokyo Revengers Chapter 228

In chapter 228, the Black Dragon duo Waka and Benkei continue to fight against South. As South attempts to land a punch on Waka, Waka swiftly dodges the punch, and counterattacks South instead with multiple kicks. The people who are watching the battle from the sidelines are amazed by Waka’s agility and compare him to a bird as he is able to attack even in mid-air.

Benkei also attacks South with a strong punch, sending South flying back. As the fight goes on, Koko asks Mikey if he’s okay with this since the battle seems like it would end in Brahman’s victory. However, Mikey doesn’t think this is the case.

South is back on his feet again and starts talking about how he killed his father in his childhood and how his mother died. He talks about the irresistible pull of “the urge,” which Mikey calls his “dark impulses”. South says he can’t be so easily defeated by people like Waka and Benkei, so this causes his violent urges to become even stronger. He rapidly beats up Waka and Benkei, within a short span of time, knocking the duo out.

This is when Senju enters the scene and faces South. She apologizes to Waka and further says that she can’t just sit back and watch and do nothing about it. She firmly tells South that she’ll deal with him.

What are Some Expectations for Tokyo Revengers Chapter 229? 

No official spoilers are available as yet. The raw scans will probably be available by Sunday, October 31st. But for now, we can make our own speculations as to what we think will happen next.

Many fans have been doubtful for some time now that Senju could be as strong as South. But, Senju seemed confident and unfazed even after seeing how South destroyed Waka and Benkei like they were nothing. So there must be a legit reason for her confidence in challenging South. After all, she is called “unmatched” and must have probably defeated everyone in Brahman’s underground fighting ring to become their leader.

However, there’s also the pesky business with Takemichi’s vision of Senju’s death. Some fans speculate that perhaps Takemichi or Mikey may step in and protect Senju. Or next chapter, the fight may not even be shown yet, we may get a Senju flashback story and this sounds right since so much of her character is still shrouded in mystery.

Anyway, it is for sure that we’ll finally be able to witness Senju in action! Her fighting style could be similar to Waka. Though she may not be physically as strong as South, she is extremely nimble and will be able to dodge South’s hits and land swift attacks.
