Thor Love and Thunder: Idris Elba is Returning to The Franchise
Infinity War saw so many people’s death by the end, but the most heart-breaking part of the movie was the deaths in the first scene.

At the beginning of the movie, we see the death of the two most beloved characters in the franchise, Loki and Heimdall. While they both were not the only ones who died, their death is what made us tear up.
Now that Marvel found out a way to bring Loki back into the MCU and even has a series brewing, there might be a chance that Idris Elba’s Heimdall is also returning.
Is Heimdall coming back?
The Pandemic had altered all the schedule, but now every production is back in full swing, and the fourth movie of the Thor franchise is scheduled to start filming from January 2021.
While all the cast has landed in Australia months before the filming, and the principal photography taking place now, we got some good news.
Heimdall lands in Australia.

Idris Elba, who plays the role of Heimdall in the franchise, was seen in Australia. Taika Waititi, the Thor film director, took to his Instagram to share a picture of him, Idris Elba meeting with the All Blacks Rugby team from New Zealand.
While Waititi has been in Australia for more than two months now, and other actors like Christian Bale, Vin Diesel landing in Australia just one month back, it is speculated now that Heimdall is also coming back.
Second Wave Destruction
Idris Elba could’ve just come to visit the team, you think? Now, answer me, why would he do that? Any other time it would’ve been possible, but now with the second wave of Coronavirus hitting every country and half of Australia in a full lockdown, will Elba come just to meet the Rugby team from New Zealand?
It’s a superhero movie, after all.
As the matter of his death in the movie is concerned, I mean it’s a sci-fi fantasy superhero movie for crying out loud, so anything is possible in that front. Also, Heimdall is basically a God, and his powers are unmatched.
He is not just some portal keeper, so there are many chances for him to come alive, or maybe, the present Loki meets Heimdall in a multiverse, and he has been chasing him to take him back to Asgard after he keeps disrupting time by constantly jumping around the alternate realities.
Multiverse confusion
Wait, that would mean some other actor playing the role, right, not Elba himself? Well, then that would mean either two things, one, Heimdall is back in the MCU in the current timeline by some magic, or they are filming some flashback scenes.
Either way, next to Spider-Man 3, we are getting a lot of hype for Love and Thunder. We will be getting more and more information once they start filming.
