The Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari) is a Japanese dark fantasy isekai light novel series written by Aneko Yusagi. Originally published as a web novel in the user-generated novel site Shōsetsuka ni Narō, the series has since been published by Media Factory with an expanded story-line featuring illustrations by Seira Minami.
Naofumi Iwatani, an uncharismatic otaku who spends his days on games and manga, suddenly finds himself summoned to a parallel universe. He discovers he is one of four heroes equipped with legendary weapons and tasked with saving the world from its prophesied destruction. As the Shield Hero, the weakest of the heroes, all is not as it seems. Naofumi is soon alone, penniless, and betrayed. With no one to turn to, and nowhere to run, he is left with only his shield. Now, Naofumi must rise to become the legendary Shield Hero and save the world.

The season finale, or the 25th episode of the anime leaves viewers stunned while also clouding their thoughts with a plethora of emotions. There’s a fight for survival going on. Glass vs. Naofumi! Until one of them dies in the combat, the conflict and war between them will continue. Meanwhile, it’s worth recalling how Naofumi has been working tirelessly to prepare Raphtalia for the day when he would no longer be present. Naofumi becomes the Lord of Sevaette in the season finale, thoroughly breaking Raphtalia’s heart. Even though she knew Naofumi might not be there with her one day, she had a tremendous meltdown. It’s still unclear if Naofumi will stay in her life instead of performing the obligations of a Cardinal Hero.

What to expect from Season 2 of The Rising Shield of the Hero
Only Masato Jinbo directs the second season of ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero.’ What is certain is that Naomi and his buddies have developed and grown up. They can overcome severe challenges and go on adventurous adventures based on their previous experiences. It’s also known that a Spirit Turtle, whom they must defeat, has arrived out of nowhere in their world. Naomi and her allies do everything they can to combat this heinous foe.
In the second season of ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero,’ more characters will be introduced. The new characters who join Naofumi’s crew are Rishia Ivyred (voiced by Natsuko Hara) and Kizuna Kazayama.
