The Honor Student at Magic High School is a spin-off of the popular light novel series The Irregular at Magic High School. The anime adaptation’s 2nd Promo video is out. It features the song 101 by Shingatsu no Phantasia.
Hideki Tachibana is directing the anime The Honor Student at Magic School. The story is taken from the perspective of protagonist Shiba Miyuki. It follows the events from the original series through Miyuki’s perspective.
CONNECT is the studio producing the anime. Hideki is also working with Takahashi Watanabe, Tsuyoshi Tamai, Ryosuke Yamamoto and Takao Sano.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV and AT-X channels on July 3. Funimation will also be streaming the anime.
Yu Mori is the author of the manga series. She published spin-off in 2012 and ended the series in June 2020. The original light novel series of The Irregular at Magic High School, however, started in 2008.
The light novel series has 12 million copies in circulation, while the series includes manga withs 20 million copies in circulation. The novel series has inspired multiple manga from different authors, based on different arcs of the novels.
The original series follows the story of Tatsuya Shiba, who is a bodyguard to his sister Miyuki Shiba. His sister is also a candidate to succeed as the head of the Yotsuba family. Both of them enroll in First High School which segregates students based on magical ability.
However, Miyuki is enrolled as a brilliant student and Tatsuya is enrolled as a magically inept student. Tatsuya is, however, talented in the field of technical knowledge, combat abilities, and unique magic techniques. As a result, he is an ‘irregular’ to the school’s standardized rankings.
