The Crown Season 4: 5 Reasons Not To Miss The Show

The infamous Netflix drama The Crown recounts Queen Elizabeth II’s 60-year reign over six seasons. Every season plays out as a mystery for those who are not thoroughly aware of the history. The drama contains interpersonal dynamics of the British Monarch, which a school textbook even cannot cover. 

The most recent season features the most awaited entry of Diana Spencer. Everyone’s aware of the trio — Charles, Diana, and Camillia; Princess Diana’s sudden take off to the pop culture and contentious divorce from Prince Charles. The drama is never short on mystery, and the scenes will make you go back and forth to Google to recheck “Wait, this Happened?!”

Princess Diana and Charles’s OH-SO-CUTE-MEET

Prince Charles was paying a visit to his then-girlfriend Sarah Spencer, and he tumbles alone in a grand ballroom where he finds Diana. The 16-year-old Diana was dressed as a magical wood nymph from A Midsummer Night’s DreamThey started to have a conversation about Shakespeare and started peering each other through branches like Leonardo Di Caprio and Claire Danes did in Romeo+Juliet. The scene was enough encaptivating to make you root for their relationship. SPOILER ALERT- The Crown did not do that. 

For Transformational Gillan Anderson

Gillan Anderson’s transformation from Sex Education to Queen is terrific. She plays as the first-ever female president of the UK, as Margaret Thatcher. There are quite powerful scenes attached to the role that the controversy with the PM is forgotten. The scenes also show conflicts between the queen and the PM. 

Last Appearances of Various Characters 

Olivia Colman, Tobias Menzies, Helena Bonham Carter, Josh O’Connor, and the others acted their last roles in Season 4. The cast will be changed for seasons 5, and 6 and the replacements are already here: Imelda Staunton as Queen Elisabeth, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, and Elizabeth Debicki as Lady Diana.

The drama comes naturally to this show, and it doesn’t need to fictionalize much; there’s no end to the drama in the Royal family. The personal drama or the focus of the season Charles/Diana’s relationship and Marget Thatcher’s reign. Apart from personal drama, the series also portrays important events of UK history. 

Long Time, Season 5 

Season 5 won’t release until 2022, and the wait is quite LONG, followed by season 6 in 2023.
