Birds of Prey Teaser Released
The teaser trailer of The Birds of Prey recently released online, which teased the upcoming DC movie with a female lead.
Both DC Films and Warner Bros. have been expanding their Worlds of DC franchise by continuously producing and releasing films that are continuing from the narratives established by Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Justice League, which is known as the DC Extended Universe.
Additionally, they are also making movies that are set in alternate universes, such as the upcoming film Joker.
Birds of Prey
One of the next entries into the DCEU is Birds of Prey, the spinoff to Suicide Squad. The film has Harley Quinn teaming up with three other female heroes to defeat Black Mask. It will feature Margot Robbie and Ewan McGregor in lead roles.
Other Details of Birds of Prey
Harley Quinn’s character in Birds of Prey will be joined by other superheroes of DC Comics, such as Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya, who will help the young Cassandra Cain.
In DC Comics, Cain goes on to become Batgirl, even though that is something her character is not expected to be doing in Birds of Prey.
Harley Quinn, along with all the female heroes, will have a face-off against Black Mask in the movie, in addition to another fight with Victor Zsasz, the villain in the comics.
What Does the Teaser Give Away?
Even though the costume teaser trailer of Birds of Prey has been released, fans have been able to see the actual footage from the film in a newly surfaced teaser, along with a good look at the characters.
Birds of Prey is directed by Cathy Yan, with the script written by Christina Hodson. The film is slated to release in theatres on February 2020.
