Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, who brought Captain America and Black Widow to life in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will star in a romantic and action film titled Ghosted, which Apple Studios and Skydance will produce.

The film, whose plot is unknown at the moment, will be directed by Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman) and will mean the reunion of both interpreters after their appearance in Avengers: Endgame. It should be remembered that before giving life to their respective superheroes Evans and Johansson, they worked together in 2004 thanks to The Perfect Score and in 2007 with Diary of a nanny.

Although both actors have never had a romantic relationship off the screen, the chemistry between them in their day-to-day lives has often led to suspicions about it. As a result, their fans dream of seeing them in a relationship that involves more than friendship. For this reason, and even if it is only fiction, the possibility of seeing them play a couple has been received with enthusiasm by the public.

The Marvel fans will have to settle for this reunion since it seems highly unlikely that both performers will share screen within the franchise, at the least in the short term. Not only because Natasha Romanoff died in Endgame and Steve Rogers retired traveling in time, but because the complaint filed against Disney by Johansson for the simultaneous release in theaters and Disney Plus of Black Widow has clouded relations between the actress and the company.

Chris Evans, who previously worked with Apple on the legal drama miniseries “Defending Jacob,” recently wrapped “The Gray Man,” an action thriller with Ryan Gosling that re-teamed him with his “Avengers” directors Joe and Anthony Russo.
