Delays suffered by the film
Parineeti Chopra starer Saina, which is a biopic based on Saina Nehwal’s badminton life, is all set to release on an OTT platform. Though the film was initially supposed to release on the big screen in 2020, it got delayed due to coronavirus restrictions.
After being marred by several delays, the plan for the movie to hit theaters got halted. Though the makers haven’t given any confirmation yet, It is due to theaters operating at 50 percent occupancy; the makers are more inclined towards a digital release.

Actor Shubhra Jyoti Barat who’ll be seen playing the role of Saina’s father, Harveer Singh Nehwal, stated that owing to the current situation, platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime are effective options. Though he would have loved to see the film in a movie hall, he said he might have to settle for a digital release.

Parineeti Chopra had to do a lot of training to get into the grove of badminton. Various glimpses from her practice sessions have been doing rounds on social media, ultimately raising the fans’ anticipation. Directed by Amole Gupte and produced by Bhushan Kumar, millions of people look forward to watching this biopic.
