2021 seems to be a very hectic year for Bollywood’s favorite Ranveer Singh. The actor will soon be seen in his much-awaited film titled ’83’, which will hit the big screen on 4th June. Currently, he is busy shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus.
This Hindi adaptation of William Shakespeare’s ‘The Comedy Of Errors’ will feature him in a double role.
A new film in the kitty
According to multiple reports, Ranveer is all set to collaborate with ‘Robot’ & ‘Robot 2.0’ director, S. Shankar, for a Hindi remake of a classic Tamil movie. Ranveer might join hands with Shankar for the Bollywood remake of his 2005 classic Tamil psychological thriller movie called ‘Anniyan.’ The actor, who is currently busy shooting for his much-awaited film ‘Cirkus,’ took a short break a few days ago and flew down to Chennai to discuss the details and possibilities for Shankar’s project.
Ranveer’s fan moment
Ranveer has been following Shankar’s work and admires his eye for visual spectacles. Hence the actor himself approached the filmmaker in the hopes of a collaboration. They’re in touch regarding the remake of Shankar’s ‘Anniyan.’ This iconic 2005 film starred Chiyaan Vikram as a perfect, law-abiding lawyer who struggles with multiple personality disorders.”
Extensive VFX work
Shankar and his team have been working on this project extensively for a long time now. With Ranveer more or less locking the part, the director wishes to take ‘Anniyan’ to a different level altogether with modern VFX and technology. They’re working on the script and want to make sure it’s written in a manner that gives it a pan-India appeal.
