About the Anime
The anime series’ eighth instalment is Pokémon Journeys: The Series. It includes all of the regions from the main series games, including Pokémon Sword and Shield from Generation VIII. This series has the same Japanese name as the original series, which debuted in 1997, and is officially designated with “2019,” the year this series debuted, to avoid confusion. For the fourth series in a row, a new art style is used.
The two characters, Ash Ketchum and Goh, as well as their partners Pikachu and Cinderace, are the core of this new series. It also depicts Chloe, a little girl with an Eevee, and her father, Professor Cerise, who manages a Vermilion City laboratory.
It includes all of the territories from Kanto to Galar that have appeared in the Pokémon games. Each region’s Pokémon also appear.

Recap of Pokemon (2019) Episode 97
Pokémon Journeys: The Series is the next instalment in the long-running Pokémon animated series, and it follows Ash and Pikachu as they journey with a personal coach called Goh.
Ash and Goh have travelled to Slowpoke Island in the hopes of capturing a Slowpoke the next time around. They quickly discover the island’s Slowpoke, and while Ash wants to relax with them, Goh quickly rejects this diversion and gets down to work, catching a Slowpoke with ease.
He won’t have much time to rejoice over his newest capture before the next island collides with it, causing the entire island to shake. A new Slowpoke organisation appears, dubbed Galarian Slowpoke by Goh’s Rotom Phone. Perhaps one of them attempts a nibble of a nearby Slowpoke’s tail but is repulsed by its sweetness.
As a sign of their new partnership, the two Slowkings gift each other a Galarica nut plant and an udon meal. Galarian Slowking uses Psychic to keep its island afloat when its type embarks on its journey, with Ash and Goh saying them farewell and hoping to give them another opportunity later.
