One Piece Episode 991 Release Date and Spoilers: More Luffy and Yamato Goodness!
With Yamato back in the picture, fans are excitedly looking forward to the next installment in the series. Although there were some complaints about the pacing, many fans enjoyed the last episode and also agreed that the Union scene between Luffy and Yamato was done very tastefully.

One Piece Episode 991 Release Date
Thankfully, One Piece is not on break this week. And Episode 991 is set to be released as earlier scheduled. No delay has been announced.
Episode 991 of One Piece, titled “Enemy or Ally? Luffy and Yamato!”, will be released this coming Sunday on Sep 12, 2021.
Recap of One Piece Episode 990
As Episode 990 of One Piece, titled “Thunder Bagua! Here Comes Kaido’s Son!” begins, we see Orochi ordering his men to set the execution stage for Momonosuke. This is to hurt the Samurais’ spirit by executing their leader.
We also see Kaido’s men hunting Yamato down. But, Yamato has something, or rather someone on her mind. She has been waiting for quite some time for this person to turn up.
Meanwhile, Ulti asks Luffy who he is, after Page One tells her that Luffy is an intruder. To this, Luffy boldly states his name and declares that he will be the next Pirate King. Ulti reacts strongly to this and disagreeing, she claims that it is Kaido instead who will be the next Pirate King.
Chaos then ensues as Ulti headbutts Luffy causing him to fall and break the floor, after which Ulti and Page One transform into their dragon form as they recognise Luffy as a powerful opponent because of his Haki.
They then move into battle mode and just as Luffy is about to use his Gear Fourth, Yamato arrives and brings Ulti down with her Thunder Bagua, thus rescuing Luffy. At the end of the episode, Yamato escapes with Luffy and reveals that Kaido is her father.
What Can We Expect from One Piece Episode 991?
Many are speculating that since Yamato claims that Kaido is her father, Luffy may be on his guard and even try to fight her. But of course, we all know Yamato’s strength so if that happens, she will definitely be able to stand her ground since she even took down Ulti with a single blow.
However, it’s more likely that Yamato will manage to convince Luffy that she is an ally. She may also reveal that she has a grudge against Kaido, which would be quite enough to make Luffy trust her.
