The story follows Monkey D. Luffy, a young boy whose body was turned to rubber after eating a Devil Fruit by accident. Luffy is vying for the world’s most coveted prize, the “One Piece,” to become the next Pirate King.
ONE PIECE EPISODE 1014 UPDATE
Recent news have revealed that the 1014th episode of One Piece will be delayed by a week and in its place an anime original Episode will be released. This Episode will be covering the relationship and story between Yamato and Ace. There have been many speculations regarding the nature of this episode. Some presume that it will be totally filler while others say that it will still drive the plot forward. 
Although it is being labelled as an Anime Original episode, the relationship between Yamato and Ace has actually been covered in its manga counterpart as well. Moreover, what the latest episode seeks out do is not make a totally anime original episode but just expand on the story between Yamato and Ace. Then the plot will continue, being faithful to its source material.
The fans have been very vocal about this decision and clearly some people are fine with it while others are concerned about the number of times recent episodes are being delayed.
