One Piece Chapter 1036 Recap
As King succumbs to defeat, he remembers the time he met Kaidou. Kaidou learned that King suspected him of being Joy Boy. CP-0 quickly learns that all of the All-Stars and the Tobiroppo have been beaten.
Meanwhile, upon Yamato’s orders, Fuga bursts through the armory’s gate, and hits guard Rokki, and she runs in while Fuga battles Rokki. In other news, Izou entered the first-floor crawlspace where we see Usopp getting swamped while guarding Kin’emon and Kikunojo.
Usopp teleported himself and the two samurai to a safer location. Due to the encroaching flames, Raizo and Fukurokuju have cast “paralysis jutsu” on each other and are competing to see who will release it first.
As the CP-0 agents beat Drake and Zanki, Apoo and Inbi make their escape. The agents make acute observations that the need to plan a contingency plan may arise though the presence of Kaidou and Big Mom still renders the alliance’s chances of success small. As time passes, Luffy and Kaidou start fighting on equal footing.

Kaidou and Big Mom may have a face-off with the alliance in Chapter 1037. Joy Boy (a title bestowed upon some important achievements) was a pivotal character in the history of Fish-Man Island during the Void Century.
Kaidou believes that the Joy Boy should possess the three Ancient Weapons that Luffy possesses. Once Kaidou and Big Mom have determined that Luffy is a Joy Boy, they will pursue him in order to get the Ancient Weapon.
