Netflix Announces A Line-Up Of New Indian Movies For 2021!

Today seems to be a lucky day for all the movieholics. Netflix just announced a fascinating line-up of Indian films to look forward to in 2021. Some of them are as follows:

• Dhamaka

Starring Kartik Aryan in the lead and directed by Ram Madhvani, Dhamaka is a remake of the Korean thriller film titled ‘The Terror Live.’ Kartik will be playing the role of an ex-news anchor, who landed an opportunity to go live on prime time television to deal with threat calls from a terrorist.

• Pagglait

Starring Sanya Malhotra in the recently widowed Sandhya role, Pagglait aims to highlight the struggles she went through after her husband’s untimely death. Director Umesh Bist seeks to capture this tragic story in a quirky manner to depict a young widow’s journey as she finally finds herself amidst all the chaos. The film will be released on 26th March on Netflix.

• Haseen Dillruba

Starring Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey in lead roles, Haseen Dillruba is a mystery thriller directed by Vinil Mathew. The story revolves around the life of a woman who dreams of living a life that seems like it came straight out of a book. Eerily, she finds herself entangled in the murder of her husband.

• Meenakshi Sundareshwar

Starring Abhimanyu Dassani and Sanya Malhotra, this romantic comedy directed by Vivek Soni revolves around the life of a young couple who get an arrange marriage as their first names together make Madurai’s famous temple ‘Meenakshi Sundareshwar.’ The film covers the trials, tribulations, and insecurities of a long-distance relationship faced by a newlywed couple. The film will be out on Netflix soon.

• Sardar Ka Grandson

With a star cast including big names like Neena Gupta, Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, John Abraham, Aditi Rao Hyadari, Soni Razdan, many expectations are riding on this film. Directed by Kaashvie Nair, this film revolves around a US-returned grandson (played by Arjun Kapoor). He will go to any heights to fulfill his fun-loving grandmother’s last desire (played by Neena Gupta), the matriarch of his very Punjabi family. While the exact date hasn’t been confirmed, Sardar Ka Grandson will release this summer on Netflix.
