There will be season 2 of My Next Life as a Villainess. Gladly, there was the official announcement for the new season of My Next Life as a Villainess coming in 2021. But there were no details of the same. There is no official notice about the release date, number of episodes, or theme song.
Plot
The season 1 of My Next Life as a Villainess anime was on aired from 4 April 2020 to 20 June 2020. A young spoiled daughter of the noble family: Catarina Claes is the main character of the anime.
When she accidentally damages her forehead and regains the memories of her past life. According to her memories, the current life is the otome game she last played before she died: Fortune Lover. She became the antagonist of the game. And all endings will be doomed to either be killed or exiled.
So, Catarina starts countermeasures to events and tries to avoid the routes that are going to be the same ways as the games. The kind and awkward behaviors of her changed the plot of the original story countiuously. In the last episode, Catarina ended up having unexpected consequences on her relationships with the other characters of the game’s world.
The first season of My Next Life as a Villainess anime covered the volume 1st and 2nd volumes of the light novel. Therefore, the second season of anime will be the 3rd and 4th volumes. The volume of the light novel is already up to Volume 3 and Volume 4 will be released on October 13, 2020. As a spoiler for the second season, Catarina is going to make the doom flag for herself.
