Mumbai Model Rape Case: FIR Filed Against Bollywood’s High Profile Men
Mumbai Model Rape Case: The city-based model has recently filed an FIR against nine different high-profile men who have sexually abused her over the years.
Back on April 12, the model had uploaded a post on her social media channels alleging that she was physically and emotionally assaulted during her work. In the post, she mentioned how she also wrote to a senior police officer seeking to file a case against the abuser.
On May 26, Bandra police registered an FIR case for sexual harassment and physical assault regarding the matter. The alleged victim expressed slow action towards her complaint.
“Police have registered an FIR after so many days of submitting my complaint letter against the high-profile people, but none of them have been arrested yet,” the model told Mid-day
Who Are The Alleged Rapists?
In the official FIR complaint, the 28-year-old model-turned singer-songwriter reportedly named eight men from Bollywood. She also alleged that she was raped by photographer Colston Julian on multiple occasions, between 2014 to 2018.
Besides Julian, the alleged victim named 36-year-old actor and producer Jackky Bhagnani was immediately booked by Mumbai Police on charges of molestation. Bhagnani is the son of Vashu Bagnani, a noted producer in Bollywood.

Apart from the two aforementioned men, several high profile men including Zerodha founder and CEO Nikhil Kamath, Kwan Entertainment Co-founder Anirban Blah, and Producer Vishnu Induri have also been named in the case.

The alleged victim’s statement was recorded on May 18. After this, the FIR case was forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner of the Police Zone 9 office in Bandra. Mumbai Police spokesperson deputy commissioner of police Chaitanya Siriprolu confirmed the development and said further investigation is on.
After news of the alleged rape case, photographer Colston Julian claimed that the allegations are entirely false. Julian said that the claims are “false and spiteful”. In a post on social media, he wrote that his lawyers are responding to the situation in a legal manner.
