Millionaire Detective season 2 release date

The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited is a TV series loosely based on the novel “The Millionaire Detective” written by Yasutaka Tsutsui. The first season aired on the 9th of April, 2020 giving a total of 11 episodes. Fans are now anticipating the release of its second season.

Although the anime is an adaptation of the novel, the show is still quite different from it. From what we have gathered, the anime has more comedy scenes and the characters are also more entertaining. So, if there is a sequel, the creators of the anime might progress the story in any way they want.

The Millionaire Detective is available for streaming on Funimation. So if a second season is made, we can expect a similar arrangement when the time comes.

What is the storyline of the anime?

The plot centers around Daisuke Kambe, a detective who comes from a wealthy background. He works at the Modern Crime Prevention Headquarters and is partnered with Haru Katou.

Daisuke uses his money to solve cases, so Haru Kato is badly against his bribery methods. However, although they are two very different people, they must work together to solve the toughest crimes as detectives. 

Will we get a second season of The Millionaire Detective?

The anime production was halted in July due to the pandemic, but it managed to come back and has given us a great show. Now the viewers are looking forward to another season.

As of now, we do not have the slightest idea of the next season. Even if there is a possibility, we cannot expect it to be released anytime soon. 

Produced by Cloverworks, there is a low chance for the anime to get renewed. Since the studio has a history of not continuing some amazing animes, the show might even get canceled. 

So, Balance Unlimited will probably have to garner a bigger fanbase for the show to be greenlit for a renewal. Either way, let’s wait for any confirmation news from the creators.
