Mieruko-chan Episode 10 is scheduled to release on Sunday, December 5th, 2021.
Recap of Mieruko-chan Episode 9
Episode 9 begins with Zen Tono taking the class’ attendance as their new homeroom substitute teacher. Miko is still uncomfortable with Zen’s presence. And Hana seems to remember him but can’t place her finger on it exactly.

When Miko heads to the washroom to avoid an encounter with Zen, she sees a huge ghost coming out of the toilet. As usual, she’s freaked out but pretends to be all nonchalant on the outside. To not provoke the ghost’s suspicion, she acts like there’s no toilet paper and moves to another washroom stall.
Here, she finds Yuria eating from her lunchbox alone. The next scene cuts to Miko, Yuria and Hana sitting together with their lunch. Then, they head to a horror house where if you win and come out the other side successfully, you get 20 free donuts. On Hana’s insistence, they head into the horror house.
Miko at first thought it’d be a good place to practice her nonchalant face acting as it would be useful when she actually faces real ghosts. But inside she changes her mind and finds that it’s way more liberating to scream out her fear and shock as she usually does not get to do so when she sees real ghosts. The episode ends with the trio successfully completing the horror house route and they get the promised reward of 20 donuts.
Miko also tells Yuria that next time, they should go to a real haunted house attraction. As they head back home, they see the prayer beads old lady’s place on the way and after Yuria bows in front of it, they ask her if she knows the place and Yuria replies not really. But inside, she thinks her godmother must be improving her psychic powers somewhere.
And the last scene shows the godmother toiling on a field in the countryside and when a man approaches her and tells her she works really hard, she replies that she couldn’t possibly rely on her son’s family completely.
What Are Some Expectations for Mieruko-chan Episode 10?
The title of the upcoming episode is “Don’t Look”. The narrator in the preview talks about how sometimes, we have moments when we want to scream out really loud. One such case is Miko’s and it has to do with meeting a scary teacher after remembering bad memories. In Episode 10, we can expect to learn more about Zen Tono. Maybe we’ll get some kind of back story too.
