Michael Che Reveals He Had Plans To Disrupt Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost’s Wedding

Michael Che and Colin Jost have had some feud going on no matter where they are, and Michael Che has shared that he wanted to and had every plan to disrupt Scarlett Johansson’s wedding during the Ellen Show.

Michael Che and Colin Jost are friends and co-hosts of Weekend Update in the SNL, so this is a given.

What happened in Ellen Show?

Michael started this when he went on the Ellen show just weeks before the couple’s wedding in October 2020 and told that he would disrupt the wedding.

‘I would love to go and just disrupt everything, and I think they’ll (ScarJo and Colin Jost) let me in because they feel like they have to, and I think that’s going to be a big mistake.’

Colin Jost, who appeared just a few days later, seemed to support the notion.

“I mean, he (Che) plans to make a scene at most of the events. I would say that’s his general approach. Yeah, that’s part of why we’ve just been postponing it (the wedding). It’s because we can see him getting ready for the wedding, and we’re like, maybe we should wait another day. I want to ask him to make an objection at the wedding. A lot of people do speeches, but I think it would be nice at that moment. So, few people utilize that moment to object, and I think he could make a great objection.”

Did Michael Che disrupt Scarlett Johansson’s wedding?

Unfortunately, he didn’t, and even Colin Jost’s parents were disappointed he didn’t do anything. The reason was that Che felt like the wedding looked very normal like any other wedding and very sweet and nothing like a lavish celebrity wedding.

“I wanted to interrupt and cause a huge mess, and when I got there, and it was, like, just a normal people wedding. It turns out they are, like, actually normal, and it was sweet. And I was like, ‘I can’t mess this wedding up.’ So, I just let them have their day.”

But Che thinks he disappointed Colin’s parents because they met him after the wedding and asked why he didn’t go ahead with his plan.
