MCU Spider-Man 3 Doesn’t Include Charlie Cox’s Daredevil

MCU Fans Might Get Daredevil And Spider-Man Together Very Soon

Charlie Cox denies the rumor of Daredevil having a role in the MCU’s Spider-Man 3 movie.

Charlie Cox says his version of Netflix’s Daredevil won’t appear in Spider-Man 3 at Sony and Marvel Studios. With the release of Avengers, the popularity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown significantly, and Marvel and Netflix have partnered to bring out the most popular Marvel content on the popular streaming service. The first show of the deal was Daredevil, which introduced the audience to Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock.

Fans have expressed hope that Marvel Studios will revive the series when legally allowed, or that Cox will reprise his superhero role in the MCU movie. The promise of such a character grew only after the popular theory that Daredevil could appear in Spider-Man 3.

In a recent interview with ComicBook, Cox closed off rumors that this would happen with his Daredevil. Although rumors of such appearances did not come from reliable sources, Spider-Man 3 was the perfect place for Daredevil to return. Cox said:

“I hadn’t heard those rumors, but it’s certainly not with my Daredevil. I’m not involved in it. If that’s true, it’s not with me. It’s with another actor.”

Fans have had the idea of seeing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Cox’s Daredevil on screen for years, in which actors have also expressed interest in the crossover. However, legal complications between Netflix and Marvel, along with the time required to pull the crossover, did not occur.

While Cox’s portrayal of Daredevil may appeal to viewers, Marvel Studios may want a fresh start with the big-screen version of the character. Cox is open to returning to his role, and it would be great to see him again in a red suit along with other Marvel heroes – but Spider-Man 3 is not where it’s supposed to be (if it ever did).
