MCU Phase 4-5’s NEW ‘Infinity Stones’ Might’ve Just Got Confirmed (Theory)

Did MCU Phase Really Miss Contact? Or did the fans not look strong enough? Given the first official trailer for Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man the Wasp: Quantum of Solace, Marvel critics may be reconsidering that question. Premiere February 17, 2023, Ant-Man 3 is more than just a trilogy, it’s also the first MCU Phase 5 film to feature the live-action debut of Kang the Conqueror. Kang, first teased by Loki in Season 1, becomes the Thanos version of the Multiverse Saga; and like Mad Titan, D23’s Ant-Man 3 trailer showed Kang chasing something. Could this be the MCU’s new version of Phases , 5 and 6 of the Infinity Stones?

It is often said that the best hiding place is in plain sight; and given what was revealed in the Quantumania trailer, it looks like Kang’s Multiversal MacGuffins may have been in sight all along.
In the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer, Kang’s empire and his technology are mostly made up of circles and rings, with designs similar to previous MCU images.
For example, The Ten Rings of Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings are very reminiscent of the images of Kang in the trailer.

They even emit the same blue glow and energy that Kang seems to be using in the new material. In Loki, time is explained as a circle or loop following a predetermined path. When He Who Remains explains his variations, he speaks of different circular universes superimposed on each other. Therefore, it makes sense that Kang’s technique is circular, and why the ten rings probably belong to him. In fact, the rings in the Quantumania footage may actually be the Ten Rings from the 2021 movie.

Shang-Chi Ten Rings

If the rings belong to Kang, their description in Shang-Chi is even more enjoyable. A post-release teaser for the film confirmed that they are a kind of beacon that sends a message to somewhere unknown. Now it seems they can send a message to the Quantum Realm and Kang himself. Shang-Chi also describes them as having the ability to open the Gate of Darkness, releasing evil from one sphere or dimension to another. Maybe Kang sent the Ten Ring technology to the Multiverse so he could locate and access Earth-616 in time? Finally, it’s worth noting that Shang-Chi and Kang have another connection with Destin Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton being confirmed to direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
