Letitia Wright Answers About Working in Black Panther Sequel Without Chadwick

Even though it has been just two months since Chadwick’s death and half of the world is still mourning the lost hero and legend, fans have been looking forward to finally paying their respect to him by making Black Panther 2 historical.

Fans have been asking Shuri to take over the mantle, as it is in comics. They have requested Marvel to open the movie with T’Challa’s funeral. If Marvel goes through with that idea, let me tell you one thing, we are definitely going to need tissues as it is going to be an emotional one.

Now that every film schedule has been revamped more than twice, we are unsure where Black Panther 2 stands in that schedule. Fans have been asking Shuri to take the mantle, and the signs they got in the petitions are numerous. Black Panther made history with so many nominations, Oscar awards, and box office hit. So, its sequel is not going to be anything less.

If not for just the movie, we are pretty sure fans of Chadwick will make everything that there is in their power to make this historic to honour the warrior.

When Letitia Wright, one of Chadwick’s closest cast members, was asked about shooting the sequel without him. She finally answered, saying that there is no way she could even think of right now. That just goes to show the impact Chadwick had on his cast members.

She further added,

“We’re just still mourning Chad, so it’s not something I even want to think about. The thought of doing it without him is kinda strange. We’re just grieving at the moment, so it’s trying to find the light in the midst of it.”

Marvel’s Superpower

For the first time ever, with Iron Man in 2008, superhero movies began to be powerfully influential on the audience as it can be. No matter how hard DC tries in that area, it miserably fails. But one thing about Marvel movies kept the fans entertained and connected to them.

Only now do we understand that it was the cast and their unity, talent, and tight bond that brought us to believe in the fictional universe.

Letitia Wright had written a heartwarming ode to Chadwick, and it just melted our hearts. So have many of the others who worked with him. That’s the legacy Chadwick left behind. No matter what Marvel decides, Chadwick Boseman will be our only Wakandan king.
