Attack on Titan Key Visual

It reveals a lot about how Eren as the chief protagonist holds the key to either destroying the whole world via activating the Tumbling or choosing peace and thereby, the Eldians’ destruction. The visual shows how the collective memory of the Inheritors of the Original Titan are still under the 145th Eldian King’s wish for peace.

Director Yuuichirou Hayashi has talked about how he and his team were inspired to work on the visual and integrate certain core themes into the visual:

There were three types of visuals for Part 1, but I tried not to focus on any particular subject, keeping in mind the themes of men, war, and ensemble drama.

The concept for Part 2 was to focus on the individual, Eren. A piece of memory is incorporated into the design, and I hope that people will feel that Eren’s battle, which has been going on since Season 1, is reaching its climax.

Anyway, the visual does a great job at showing the complexity of Eren’s character and the plot of Attack on Titan. And that is more than enough to titillate many fans.

The manga Attack on Titan ended in April 2021, with the last compiled volume having arrived in June. The English edition, published by Kodansha, was released in October and quickly rose to third place on the New York Times Best-Seller list in its first two weeks.
