[WHOLESOME]: Kevin Hart Talks About Will Smith’s Oscar Slap Incident.

If you are unaware of the Oscar Slap incident, here’s a brief recap. It was the 94th Academy Awards, AKA Oscars 2022, and comedian Chris Rock was the host. While on stage doing his job, Chris may or may not have crossed a line when he cracked a joke about Jade Pinkett(Will Smith’s Wife). This enraged Will, leading to the infamous Oscar Slap incident, where Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock on stage for the joke.

Interestingly, Will Smith won the ‘best actor award’ for his 2021 movie ‘King Richard’ at the Oscars 2022.

While talking about the Oscar Slap incident, Kevin Hart, in a recent interview, said:

“Will is apologetic, you know, he’s in a better space, of course, than what he was after. People are human, and as humans, sometimes we make mistakes. So it’s not about talking about the past, it’s about acknowledging the present and doing your best to move forward.”

Kevin went on to say,

“I can get only hope that the two of them find a way to find some solace in that and move past it … I still love him, I still love Chris, and, you know, you can’t judge a person by one thing. Ultimately, life goes on, and people grow, so give him the opportunity to do so.”

The incident may not be directly related to our lives, but we can take a page from Kevin’s interview and learn something from it.

BBC international covered the action of ‘The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’, the organizer of the awards ceremony against Will Smith. You can read about it here: Will Smith may be banned from Oscars for ten years over slap.

Hart was supposed to host the Oscars 2019 but was forced to step down after refusing to apologize for past homophobic comments. He later apologized on Twitter about the same.
