Kevin Feige Says He’s Interested In A Spider-Man And Venom Crossover
Spider-Man’s entry to Marvel was a great step, but he comes with a lot of studio baggage with him.
As we know Marvel Studios have the rights of the Spider-Man character, use him in the non-Spider-Man movie and the Sony enjoys the profits from revitalized Spider-Man franchise.

Fiege is interested in Venom.
Sony Pictures has found financial success in sharing the Venom and Spider-Man with Disney in order for the character to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Venom crossover is just speculations by fans and not an official confirmation from MCU.
Kevin Feige was asked about the crossover of the two characters at the Spider-Man: Far From Home junket.
“I think probably it’s up to Sony,” says Feige. Sony has both those characters and, has Venom in their world. I don’t know what their plans are for another Venom or if they’re doing that. But it seems likely at some point.”
Sony’s “Venom” hit screens last year was released in theaters October 2018 and became a worldwide box office sensation. The film grossed $855 million globally despite poor reviews from film critics.
At the beginning of 2019, Sony made some announcement regarding the future projects and told that they are working on a sequel scripted by Kelly Marcel.
We’ll be seeing Tom Hardy reprising the role of Venom and Woody Harrelson making comeback after debuting in post-credit scenes of “Venom”. But the news of making the sequel of Venom is under wraps from Sony.
Venom- Spider-Man Crossover
The buzz around the filming of a joint Venom and Spider-Man movie is in the news since Sony decided to go with a PG-13 cut of the Tom Hardy tentpole.
As with the “Venom”, Sony was not interested to proceed with R-rated because it might have closed the doors for the character to join MCU and Spider-Man movies.
It was only a few years ago that Marvel and Sony managed to reach a deal that would see Sony “lend” Spider-Man to Marvel, resulting in Spider-Man: Homecoming and also allowing the character to appear in other MCU movies.
It is unclear how they might fold Venom into the MCU or what kind of licensing deal they would need, but we’re sure that many would be interested in seeing both characters on the screen together again.
Tom Holland has been a part of two solo Marvel movies: 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and this summer’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” It looks like it was a Fiege’s play in making “Venom” PG-13 as he seems interested in exploring if Sony approves.
Sony began sharing the “Spider-Man” character staring with “Homecoming,” which made $880 million worldwide. Spider-Man: Far From Home will hit theaters coming July 2.
Bringing the hugely profitable “Venom” and “Spider-Man” franchises together would appear to be a no-brainer for financial success.
