The Marvel boss called Eternals a “love letter” to the late artist Jack Kirby, who worked on Eternals. “The whole movie is a love letter to what one man was able to do with a pencil, sitting at a little desk on the East Coast,” said Kevin Feige on Eternals.
Feige said that he is also fortunate to have worked with Stan Lee, the legendary comic book writer who also became world famous due to the cameos in films which are based on Marvel creations.
Eternals has a huge cast of brilliant actors. The cast includes actors Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie.
Kevin Feige On Eternals Production
The story of Eternals is the eon-spanning tale of a group of aliens who have not been to Earth for a fairly long time. However, they have once again come together to protect humanity from destruction. They will be fighting against violent and harmful beings known as the Deviants.
The Marvel boss expressed how grateful he is to work on yet another Jack Kirby project. But he also said that he regrets never getting to meet him before he passed. Kirby died back in 1994.
“The other day I was like, ‘How cool that I live in the timeline where William Shatner went to space in real life? One of the bummers, you could argue there are many, of the current timeline that we live in, is that Jack Kirby passed before he got to see any of this,” shared Feige.
The legendary artist’s work includes Captain America, X-Men, the Hulk, Fantastic Four and many others. Eternals is Kirby’s latest creation to come to the big screen as of now. Oscar winning filmmaker Chloé Zhao directed and adapted this cosmic tale for the movie production. Eternals will hit the theatres on November 5.
