Karen Gillan: Facts You Didn’t Know About the Nebula Actor

Nebula went from that annoying blue self-righteous robot to one of our favorite blue meanies in no time.

Karen Gillan not only proved her skills by playing the role of Nebula with ease, but she also won over us as fans when she played Rudy Roundhouse in Jumanji’s third installment.

The actress has come a long way from Scotland and has established herself as one of Hollywood’s most wanted. The actress celebrates her birthday today, November 28, 2o2o; join us in wishing this trailblazer a Happy Birthday and by knowing some extra facts about Karen Gillan.

Star-Studded

Karen Gillan has been a lucky actor, one would say. But definitely, there is no doubt that her hard work and talent is the reason she is right now where she is. But when you read through the filmography of Karen Gillan, you would be shocked to see the number of big stars she has worked along with.

Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, Dwayne Johnson, Nick Jonas, Kevin Hart, Emma Watson, Tom Hanks, and the entire marvel star-studded cast. The list just goes on. This is a massive thing for a person with only 12 years of work experience in Hollywood.

Dedication Level

Karen Gillan aka Nebula was praised by the Marvel Boss for shaving her head for the role

Even though her role in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie was less, she shaved her head for the role, and Marvel made a wig out of it to use it in another film that she was simultaneously shooting called the Selfie.

While many actors refuse to step out without a wig or beautifully styled hair, Karen Gillan did all her Nebula interview in 2014 without a wig and went bald. She even did a dramatic revealing of how she is wearing a wig in the comic con, which got her praise and adorations from fans and Marvel’s boss Kevin Feige.

Revival of Nebula

According to an interview Gillan did, she had said that Nebula was supposed to die in the Guardian of the Galaxy Volume 1. Even the script had that in it, and so when the character was revived for the second movie, she was surprised.

We don’t know whose decision it was to bring her back, but let me tell you, it is one of the best decisions they made.

It’s not like DC and Marvel have a war going on. Wait, we know it’s a lie; there is always a cold war going on between the two big comic book giants of the world.

Even though she has a massive role in the MCU, Karen Gillan wants to explore her options as the first female Joker or as Batgirl or at least direct one DC movie.

The UK to USA Road Difference

While many people from UK origin take time learning to drive and adapt to the USA road system, that’s not the only thing that’s stopping Karen Gillan. You know, it’s not like she has to; she can easily hire a driver.

She learned how to drive in her 20s, which is much later than many others, and the funny thing is she still dreads sitting in the driver’s seat, so she avoids it as much as possible. You know, you would think an android should be able to do these with ease, huh?

Anyhoo, Happy Birthday, Karen Gillan; your drive has brought you to this level (lol, not that drive).
