Jujutsu Kaisen: Who is the Cursed Spirit Ryomen Sukuna?
Jujutsu Kaisen is making big waves and rising in popularity among anime fans who like action and dark fantasy! The series follows the gifted high school student Yuji Itadori who stumbles upon the supernatural world when his Occult Research Club unleashes evil spirits called curses by mistake.
Ryomen Sukuna is a powerful Cursed Spirit and he is one of the main antagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen. Sukuna, also known as the King of Curses, was a demon according to legend.
After he died, he was so powerful his body was never completely destroyed and the remains of his twenty indestructible fingers were passed over through the years as cursed objects. Sukuna was reawakened within Yuji Itadori after Itadori ate one of the cursed fingers.
Sukuna’s Abilities And Powers
Sukuna is an immensely powerful Special Grade cursed spirit with superhuman strength and speed.
When he was in Yuji‘s body, he managed to throw a person through multiple building floors without any effort. His reflexes are tremendously agile and he is so fast that his opponent won’t even realize until much later that his limb has been chopped off.
He also has the power of metamorphosis with which he can manifest new eyes and mouths on the body of his host. Once, he created an eye and a fanged mouth to appear on Yuji‘s left cheek so he could tease and mock him. Sukuna‘s resilience is also scarily durable. He can use his cursed energy to boost Yuji‘s strength and when he was flung through five buildings, he was completely alright.

Sukuna Is One Of The Strongest Characters in Jujutsu Kaisen
In the series, not much has been revealed about Sukuna but it’s very apparent from what little we know about him that he has amazing strength. Before his death, it took the combined forces of all sorcerers to defeat him. Even so, his power and his body was too mighty to be entirely destroyed.
Even though he’s trapped inside Yuji’s body and only has access to a tiny fraction of his true power, Sukuna requires little effort to defeat Special Grade Curses. His Reverse Cursed Technique can renew Yuji‘s limbs and even revive him back from the dead.
