Jujutsu Kaisen Movie To Premiere This Christmas
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has become one of the best-selling manga series. As recently as last month in May of 2021, approximately 50 million copies of Jujutsu Kaisen manga were in circulation.
The manga/anime had got nominated for the 2018 Shogakukan Manga Award in the Shōnen category as well as the 2021 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. Shueisha has compiled and published all the chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen into 16 Tankobon volumes.
It’s also available to English readers for reading on Manga Plus. Since it amassed tremendous popularity, it came as no surprise when the Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation got released. Produced by Studio MAPPA, the anime consisting of 24 episodes, aired from October 2020 till March 2021.

Studio MAPPA has been in charge of producing immensely popular anime like Kakegurui, Attack on Titan, Yuri on Ice, among others. And for the Jujutsu Kaisen movie too, MAPPA will be producing it.
Recently, there have been many exciting announcements about the addition of a movie in the entire franchise. This movie goes by the title Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie.

On June 13, 2021, a new visual or promotional image of the movie was making the rounds on Twitter and social media. This image revealed many key details about the plot, character, and where the movie stands in the entire franchise.
There were other important announcements like the Jujutsu Kaisen movie getting a premiere on 24th December 2021.

Plot of the Jujutsu Kaisen Movie
The plot of Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie will focus on Yuta Okkotsu and his relationship with Rika, an extremely close friend. The movie is an adaptation of the original miniseries, which was the foundation from which Gege Akutami crafted the story of Jujutsu Kaisen as we know it now.
Haunted by Rika’s spirit, Yuka has to deal with the Curse, fed by humans’ emotions of hatred and resentment. Though Rika and Yuta once loved each other intensely, the spirit has become a malevolent one.
Rika’s malevolent spirit inflicts harm on any person who gets close to Yuta. To counter this evil influence, he undergoes rigorous training to bring Rika back under his control. Through this, he acquired the skills to use both his and Rika’s powers to fight evil and other malevolent spirits.
