Fantastic Four

Matt Shakman of WandaVision recently signed on to helm Marvel Studio’s Fantastic Four revival, and the upcoming film has now hired a writing team to work on the script.

Since their introduction in 1961, The Fantastic Four have dominated the Marvel Comics universe. Reed Richards, his buddy Ben Grimm, Susan Storm, who became Richards’ future wife, and her younger brother Johnny make up the titular group. After a scientific space mission went wrong, they all acquired terrific superhuman abilities. The group has consistently been well-liked and inspired numerous adaptations, including 4 live-action movies.

The inevitable addition of Marvel’s First Family to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been anxiously anticipated by fans. As per a report from Deadline, the eagerly awaited film appears to have assigned the writing team of Ian Springer and Jeff Kaplan to take charge of writing a script for the picture, which will serve as the centerpiece of Matt Shakman’s Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Jon Watts, who also directed the “Spider-Man” trilogy for Sony and Marvel Studios, was originally supposed to direct the movie. But he decided to leave the movie in favor of his “Star Wars” endeavor. One of the two Marvel properties Disney purchased from 20th Century Fox after buying the studio is the Fantastic Four. After the acquisition was completed, Jeff Kaplan & Ian Springer will have to cope with the MCU strain and the high standards surrounding any live-action Fantastic Four adaptation. The third and last installment of “The Multiverse Saga,” which will begin Phase 6 of the MCU, will include the Fantastic Four.

These heroes should team up to fight common, interstellar foes in the upcoming “Avengers” films “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: Secret Wars. Currently set for release on November 8, 2024, the movie will be followed by Avengers: The Kang Dynasty on May 2, 2025, and Avengers: Secret Wars not long after that.
