JB Smoove Confirmed Tobey Maguire’s Appearance In Spider Man NWH

The trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home did not refer to one of the most talked rumors about the cameos of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Although at the moment it is not known if the actors will appear, an interpreter of the film seems to have revealed that Maguire will participate in the movie.

In an interview with JB Smoove, who plays Julius Dell ( teacher of Peter Parker ). The interviewer asked him if he was more excited to see Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield teaming up with Tom Holland.

“Tobey Maguire, of course,” he replied, offering an answer that seems to take for granted that previous film versions of Peter Parker will meet Tom Holland’s on the big screen.

The rumors surrounding Maguire and Garfield come from afar but were stoked in 2020 when it was revealed that Garfield would appear alongside Holland in the film. Sony was quick to reference those comments, noting that the casting of Maguire and Garfield was unconfirmed. In early February 2021, Holland himself denied the speculation.

“No, they will not appear in this movie. Unless they have kept this vital information from me, but I think it is too big a secret to be kept from me. But at the moment, no. It will be a continuation of the Spider movies- Man what we’ve been doing,” he declared.

The clue that makes Smoove’s words legit is in the film’s trailer. In one sequence, Holland appears dressed in a gray suit, with a blue shirt and tie, an outfit in which Maguire appeared several times in the Sam Raimi trilogy. To know more about this reference, Click Here.
