Let’s also take into account the many original anime that have been produced by the streaming platform in collaboration with anime studios. Some of the most popular ones include Castlevania, Great Pretender, Yasuke, among others.

Shaman King (2021)

Shaman King (2021) is a reboot of the original anime that started airing in 2001. The original manga was illustrated and written by Hiroyuki Takei and was serialized in the 1990s. The plot follows the adventures of a young Shaman, Yoh Asakura, as he tries to become the next Shaman King.

This throne is one with tremendous influence and power as the one who becomes the Shaman King is blessed with amazing powers including the ability to contact the Great Spirit. To become the Shaman King, one has to participate in the notorious contest called The Shaman Fight, which takes place once every month.

However, another foe called Hao threatens to disturb the peace as he embarks on a mission to save to annihilate all the non-Shamans. Praised by critics and fans alike, Shaman King will make you fall in love with its lovable characters, battle scenes, and jaw-droppingly amazing OSTs.

Edens Zero 

Written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, Edens Zero is a manga/anime series that combines science fiction and adventure. The plot follows the exciting adventures of a young boy Shiki Granbell who decides to embark on a journey across different planets to find the Cosmic Goddess. 

The setting of this anime/manga takes place in a universe where humans, aliens, and robots live together. Though there are many “cosmoses”, the Sakura Cosmos is the main cosmos where most events take place initially. The world-building is intricate and mindblowing, as proven by the fact that most of the planets have just the right combination of futurism and fantasy.

There are many aspects of this anime that are strikingly similar to our internet-driven world. All the technology in Edens Zero runs on Ether, which is a power source. Furthermore, many “Content Creators” in the Edens Zero universe use a recording device called “B-Cube”, because of which they’re called “B-Cubers”

As is obvious, the plot is amazing and will definitely get you hooked on it! You can watch this anime on Netflix in August as it’s arriving on August 26, 2021. However, 15 episodes of the anime have already been released as it premiered on Japanese TV on the 11th of April 2021.

Darwin’s Game

Written and illustrated by FLIPFLOPS, this anime originally aired from January till March 2020. Netflix has taken a lot of time to add this to their amazing anime database. However, you should be rejoicing because this anime will keep you on your toes with its stellar content. 

The plot focuses on the tale of a teenage boy named Kaname Sudo who’s forced to participate in a game called “Darwin’s Game”. Though he’s initially thrilled to be part of a new game, he suddenly realizes that this is a game where you play with life and death.

Each player is granted a unique power and Kaname finds himself caught in a cycle of mindless violence and death. He’s determined to end this cycle by killing the Game Master. This anime will be available for viewing on Netflix on August 1, 2021.

The Witcher: Nightmare of The Wolf 

A spin-off to the original The Witcher, this animated film The Witcher: Nightmare of The Wolf will be premiering on the 23rd of August, 2021. It’ll be available on Netflix! The animations are in 2D and the producer of this film is Lauren Schmidt Hissrich.

The Korean animation studio Studio Mir is producing the animations. The plot focuses on the relationship between Geralt and Vasemir, Geralt’s mentor. This film is set in the exact same universe as the 2019 Witcher media. 

The film is a hotbed of the most exciting myths and legends, most of which have Polish Origin and are told to this day. You’ll get to see a lot of epic battles between the elves, gnomes, and the dwarves! Watch the trailer here.
