Gundam Ace Magazine to Announce New Project for Gundam SEED Franchise on July 26!

A project for the Gundam Seed Franchise has been under progress for a long time and it’s finally here! Sony Music Anime Festival ’06 had announced their plans for a film project for Gundam Seed back in May 2006. Unfortunately, in 2016, Chiaki Morosawa, the head scriptwriter for the two Gundam Seed series, passed away at the age of 56.

She had been collaborating on the planned Gundam Seed film project with her husband Mitsuo Fukuda, the director of both the Gundam Seed television series. Morosawa had stated in 2008 that they had already finished working on the plot for the project, but that she had suffered health problems since the end of the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny sequel in 2005.

And very recently in 2019, Singer T.M. Revolution (Takanori Nishikawa) revealed that the film project is “moving along.”
