Godzilla has some films that could have been really very special in the world of cinema, but which could not become a reality for different reasons. So now we present to you a list of 5 cancelled Godzilla movies that we would have loved to see.

Godzilla 3-D

Not only was it going to be a movie that would have given us a great sense of depth with Godzilla, but it was going to be a stop motion animated movie. Unfortunately, it turned out to be too expensive and was cancelled for that reason alone.

Godzilla Vs. Mechamothra

Not only would Godzilla (and King Ghidorah) have his Mecha form, but Mothra was also coming back with metallic finishes. It is said that the original idea was for Mothra to lose her life and then be brought back to life again as a robot, but in the end it was decided to create a sequel to Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla.

Godzilla Vs. Ghost Godzilla

It would have been a very interesting idea to see Godzilla face the first Godzilla but in a ghost form of it. In the end, it ended up being cancelled to make way for the Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla movie.

Frankenstein Vs. Godzilla

Again, this movie seems like it would be one of the best of all time, as it would put Frankenstein’s famous monster in the Godzilla universe officially, but in the end it was Godzilla who ended up being eliminated from the film and joined Baragon in its place.

Batman Vs. Godzilla

Without a doubt, it is the cancelled project that hurts the most of all, because to be able to see the Dark Knight face Godzilla would have been spectacular, especially if we take into account that it would have been the Batman of the 60s.

It’s extremely sad that we will never see these movies see the light of day due to various reasons.
