Fruits Basket The Final to have April release, visual revealed
The TV anime “Fruits Basket The Final’, based on Natsuki Takaya’s manga, will start broadcasting in April 2021. At the time of this announcement, the teaser visual was released, and as well as comments from Takaya.
“Fruits Basket” The Final, which will be broadcast on TV Tokyo, TV Aichi, TV Osaka, etc., is the final chapter of “Fruit Basket”, which aired the 1st season in 2019 and the 2nd season in 2020.
The reason why the head of the Kusama family, Minato, clings to the bonds of the zodiac and tries to bind them with fear is revealed along with the past in this new season.
The teaser visual depicts Tohru Honda (played by Manaka Iwami) and Akito Sohma (played by Maaya Sakamoto) back to back, with a catch phrase “Don’t go—”.

Synopsis for the show:
Tohru Honda thought her life was headed for misfortune when a family tragedy left her living in a tent. When her small home is discovered by the mysterious Soma clan, she suddenly finds herself living with Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Soma. But she quickly learns their family has a bizarre secret of their own: when hugged by the opposite sex, they turn into the animals of the Zodiac!
The staff of the first two Fruits Basket seasons had Yoshihide Ibata as director, Taku Kishimoto as series composer, Masaru Shindou as character designer, Youko Kamiyama as art director, Mika Sugawara as color designer, Nozomi Shitara as photography director, and Masaru Yokoyama as music composer. TMS Entertainment was in charge of animation production.
