Food Wars! Shokugeki No Soma has been with us for quite a long time, and it manages to maintain its popularity for so many years. This just goes on to show how perfectly the plot and the animation has been designed by the creators. The anime is also well known for its use of delicious-looking foods, which Yuki Morisaki works as a contributor in providing the recipes for the series.

There has been no statement from the production team regarding the renewal plan of the anime. This was expected as the original manga series ended in 2019, which proves that there are not many left for adaptation. 

Moreover, when the renewal for the fifth season was announced, it was also revealed that this would be the final instalment of the popular series. And since season 5 continued from the final BLUE arc of the manga, it confirms that there is no content left from the source material. 

Nevertheless, fans should not be disappointed but keep their hopes high. As looking at the demand for Food Wars! Season 6 by the viewers, the anime might return in the form of OVAs or a movie.

The anime tells the story of a young aspiring chef Soma Ukihira, who studies at the Totsuki Culinary Academy. He competes with other young talented chefs in cut-throat cooking battles called “Food Wars”.
