Russo Brothers Want Doctor Doom and Ben Grimm in MCU

Doctor Doom
“Avengers: Endgame” directors Anthony and Joe Russo have just ended up wrapping the Avengers saga. Fans showed their overwhelming response to the film. We can see that by looking at the box office collections of the epic. It has grossed more than $2.1 billion in just two weeks.
Things are different now after Endgame. Directors of the epic movie are looking for some different plot, characters which would get move further. If they really want to move to the future…they need to call X- Men and Fantastic Four.

Fantastic Four

The duo is now revealing a bit of about their next steps. It looks like they are taking a break from Marvel after making four Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, beginning with 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” “Endgame” isn’t just a conclusion for this phase of the MCU, but a conclusion for the directing duo, who have said that they’re done with Marvel movies – for now.

We know that the filmmaker siblings have slots for Marvel flicks in future. But It sounds like the newly-minted characters gained in the Fox merger might just be key for now.
In an interview with Business Insider, the Russo brothers just revealed something new.
“We love Marvel, we have the most amazing working relationship with them, and we’re very close with them,” Anthony Russo told Business Insider. “Maybe there will be an idea that comes up in the future, but there is none now.”
Joe Russo added, “It’s just about finding the right story that inspires us. That’s why we get out of bed every day.”
Disney-Fox deal

The massive Disney-Fox deal closed in March. Marvel Studios now has access to Marvel characters previously owned by Fox, like the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Comics fans have focused on the deal allowing Disney to bring a few leftover Marvel characters and Star Wars, Fox characters to share screen.
“I love Ben Grimm from the Fantastic Four,” Joe said. “Doctor Doom was always one of my favorite villains.”

He added that he loves the X-Men character, Wolverine, but he’s “got to be set aside for a little while.” Hugh Jackman portrayed Wolverine in Fox’s “X-Men” series for 17 years, retiring from the role in 2017’s “Logan.”
Shifting to a different universe of genre film, the deal gives Disney the one piece of the Star Wars puzzle that it didn’t acquire when it bought Lucasfilm. The merger provides a great source of content and characters that Disney can use to boost its streaming platforms and theatre.
Endgame Director talks about Nova…

Nova Marvel

Despite having Xander destroyed prior to the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Nova was one character the Russo Brothers never considered using in either the third or fourth Avengers movies.
Recently, in an interview with CBS television culture website they said,
“We never considered introducing him,” said Joe Russo. “I think that exists more in the Guardians universe. That would have to be a James Gunn thing.”

Talking about bringing Captain Marvel and a bunch of superheroes in the conclusion, he said.
“But again, we just had too many characters on our plate,” says Russo. “And you can’t introduce somebody who doesn’t have their own movie like Captain Marvel. You can’t just throw them into the final chapter of a book.”
Marvel Studios has eight release dates set for yet-to-be-announced movies through 2022, but the odds of any of those being about the X-Men or Fantastic Four are slim.
