After the release of Avengers: Endgame last month, which marked the end of the 22 films long Infinity Saga storyline, it’s time to witness the epic conclusion of another pop culture phenomenon Game of Thrones.

The series is coming to an end with its final episode, which will air in less than 10 hours. The last episode saw the shift of Danearys Targaryen into the Mad Queen and we can’t wait to see how it all concludes for the remaining players – The Starks, the (supposed) lone Lannister and Khaleesi herself, among others.

Daenerys Targaryen was almost played by the Scarlet Witch.

“Avengers: Endgame” star Elizabeth Olsen, 30, has admitted trying to land the key “Game of Thrones” character now made famous by Emilia Clarke — blaming “the most awkward audition I’d ever had” for her failure.

“When I first started working, I just auditioned for everything, because I like auditioning. And I auditioned for Khaleesi,” Olsen told Vulture of the mad queen character. Picture Olsen delivering one of Daenerys’ fiery monologues in a British accent, and you might have a clue. “[It was from] after she just burned. And she’s making this speech to thousands of people about how she’s their queen,” she clarified.

The actress — best known as Scarlet Witch in the Avengers movies — said her “most awkward” try-out had involved a monologue from the first season.

“They didn’t know if they wanted a British accent or not. So, you did it in both. It was terrible,” she told Vulture. “Anytime someone says, ‘Bad audition story.’ That’s one I remember.”

She was just quite embarrassment for becoming a mega-fan of the HBO show, which concludes Sunday night. Jin Snow, the character who would have been her key rival.
“I’m just so deep in Game of Thrones that all I can think about is Kit Harington,” she told Vulture. “I mean, he’s just brainwashed me.”

One day ahead from the very last Game of Thrones episode, it’s easy to lose sight of the HBO drama’s humble origins. Once a terrible pilot re-worked with a slight change in cast, the series ended up launching careers for many of its young stars. And as difficult as it is to envision original pilot star Tamzin Merchant delivering Daenerys’ fiery heel-turn this past Sunday, Emilia Clarke had even more competition: Elizabeth Olsen.

Granted, the actual Game of Thrones Season 1 finale didn’t bother with a closing monologue for Daenerys, instead letting the reveal of three baby dragons speak for itself. Olsen seems to have made out in the end, taking another accented role through three Avengers flicks and her very own Disney+ series.

Game of Thrones fans may be familiar with the cast of “mad queen”. Emilia Clarke was successfully in keeping the role of 30-year-old. Avengers Star Elizabeth Olsen made on screen breakthrough in 2011 with the indie thriller drama Martha Marcy May Marlene. She was nominated for the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Actress for ber first movie.
We best know her for roles in Captain America, Wind River and Ingrid Goes West.
