Here’s what happened in the previous chapter, Eleceed Chapter 197:
- Jiwoo revealed to his friends that he was the one that actually submitted the request to spar with Glant. The reason for his absurd actions was that Jiwoo found Glant strong-looking and he couldn’t help but challenge himself to fight against strong opponents.
- Jiwoo’s friends think he’s crazy for such an early spar request and that too against one of the top 10 awakens. Kayden, on the other hand, likes Jiwoo’s conviction in challenging whoever he wants to fight. Mr. Curtin thinks the mentor-mentee duo is just like each other.
- The audience is surprised to see that the other top 10 awakeners are also present in the stadium. The fact that they came to watch a sparring match means that they are also interested in witnessing the underdog, Jiwoo, battle.
- Meanwhile, Duke tells Jiwoo that he made a mistake deciding to fight this early. He mentions that a lot of the awakeners present have already studied Jiwoos previous matches and techniques. He adds that fighting Glant this early on will provide a concrete strategy for the other awakeners to take him down.
- The match between Jiwoo and Glant finally began and Glant immediately proceeded by completely destroying and changing the terrain of the stadium. Jiwoo is now in a disadvantage as he is not familiar with fighting in such terrain conditions.
