Recap of Edens Zero chapter 180

We switch scenarios to Lendard to what is basically our first introduction to the planet and Deadend Crow and between casual dialogues of him having just murdered 99 humans working on “scanning” and the sheer weight of both his presence and Ziggy’s have, it is truly a terrifying scene.

The biggest reveals, though, are about Crow being tasked with sinking the Edens Zero in this conflict and the fact that the Edens One is using its full capacity to calculate Mother’s location.

Back to the crew, we get a quite endearing scene with Labilia now going full kouhai-senpai mode with Rebecca, and it’s actually cute. Next, to the Briefing Room, Hermit explains to all the parts involved in this assault how they’ll proceed. Basically, there’s their “normal” attack plan using most of their capacities but what’s interesting, though, is their ace: using Rebecca to summon a Cronophage.

It turns out those monsters are attracted to places where a time discrepancy has occurred and since one is passing right by through the same sector where Lendard’s located, they’re taking the chance to use Cat Leaper to attract it. This is the “Planet Eater Operation,” to take down both Ziggy and Crow at the same time.

Eden's Zero, Chapter 181

What to expect from chapter 181 of Edens Zero

Despite having so much information about how both parts are going to proceed, the act that Ziggy still remains a huge wildcard makes it really hard to determine what will be the results of this operation.

From what was shown, though, I suspect Ziggy is making preparations for his escape. Being as smart as he is, he may have already realized that he has much more to lose from staying at Lendard and facing the EZ, hence why he’s betting all of his power to locate Mother. But how exactly does he plan to do it?

Since we discovered what Rebecca’s powers are about, there’s always been this discussion among the fandom about whether or not she could be connected to the Cronophages – and if so, what that connection could be. And in what comes to her powers, she should be the key to unlocking the ultimate fate of those beasts. Let’s not forget those are also connected to Mother and Machines. And obviously, this will have a great weight on Rebecca and how she uses Cat Leaper in the future. That’s a broken ability for anyone to use but going forward we just learn more and more about the dark consequences it can have, both in regard to the Universe as a whole and to the user themselves.

We will also get to witness Deadend Crow . We should be expecting much more from him because murdering in cold blood 99 people is truly messed up. There is much more to expect behind this.
