The Second Time on The List:
Dwayne Johnson topped the list of the highest-paid actors of Hollywood.
He has previously claimed the same spot back in 2016, and the second spot in 2017 and 2018. It is no surprise that Johnson has had quite a successful career in Hollywood.
From WWE To the Big Screen:
While his fans still remember his personality and charm from his WWE days, it cannot be ignored that his transition from a fighter to an actor on the big screen was bumpy in the beginning.
And while his earlier roles in Race to Witch Mountain, Southland Tales, and Gridiron Gang were undoubtedly charming, it wasn’t until he appeared on screen as Luke Hobbs in Fast Five when he flourished as an actor.
Not only did audiences, but also studio executives began recognizing him as a movie superstar which he had often been considered to be before.
Fast and The Furious:
His portrayal of the character of Luke Hobbs brought the much-needed refreshment in the long-running Fast and Furious franchise. And soon after, his character had his own movie, alongside the character of Deckard Shaw, played by Jason Statham.
This was followed by numerous other opportunities that were bigger and better, and since then, Johnson’s movies have become somewhat of a staple at the box office, with fans flocking in huge numbers to watch all his films.
Success and Fame:
These successes are also greatly reflected in the bank accounts of The Rock.
Reportedly, the actor earned approximately $89.4 million between the period of June 2018 and 2019. He is also said to earning his highest upfront salary till now, which is a staggering $23.5 million, for Jumanji: The Next Level.
Moreover, even if Johnson decides to take a break from acting and films, he has other sources of income as well. He also gets paid a whopping $700,000 per episode of Ballers, a drama-comedy on HBO in which he is the lead as well as the executive producer.
Additionally, he makes a seven-figure salary from his deal with Under Armour.
The Forbes’ Annual List:
The annual list of Forbes has many stars of Avengers: Endgame who have a fair representation in it.
Some of these actors include Chris Hemsworth in the second spot, Robert Downey Jr. in the third, and Chris Evans in the eighth position.
All of these are positioned below the action hero Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
