Drax Actor Dave Bautista Wants A New Costume With Cape For GOTG Vol 3

Dave Bautista, who plays Drax in the MCU, have had some complaints about Drax for a long time, and this time it was something raised by a fan.

Drax was a character who was introduced to the MCU through Guardians Of The Galaxy. He has had quite the run, and apparently, the character is not done in the MCU.

According to the comics, Drax has a different story which some have strived to bring in, but this current Drax too works well for MCU.

The complaint that was raised by fans now is that Drax needs to get his signature costume from the comics for Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 3.

The Twitter user even got a reply from the director of GOTG Vol 3, James Gunn. Well, the reply was more of a funny comment from the director, but Bautista caught on and insisted the change be made.

Drax right now has a shirtless costume with a lot of makeup on. That can be avoided if he goes with the comic-accurate costume.

Well, that’s not a big difference, but it comes with a purple cape which extends as a collar too which kinda will reduce the amount and time spent on makeup for Drax.

Bautista obviously does not have a problem with staying fit, he had a successful previous profession with him staying that fit. But the age factor is to be considered.

After a particular age, normally people don’t prefer roaming around shirtless with bulging muscles, which may be why Bautista wants the costume change.

Whatever the reason, we don’t know if Marvel or James Gunn took it seriously. However, they may consider it given that it is a comic-accurate costume that Drax sometimes wears.

The change cannot be made in Thor: Love and Thunder, but we can expect it in the sequel of GOTG, hopefully.
